KIMEP University is the leading independent North American-styled academic institution in the CIS. Currently, we have approximately 3,300 students enrolled in our academic programs.

The mission of KIMEP University is to develop well-educated citizens and to improve the quality of life in Kazakhstan and the Central Asian region through teaching, learning, community service and the advancement of knowledge in the fields of business administration and social sciences. To fulfill this mission, we offer graduate and undergraduate degree programs at the highest level of international educational standards in business (finance, accounting, marketing and management), law, economics, public administration, international relations, journalism and language pedagogy to outstanding students, who will become equals to graduates of universities anywhere in the world. We seek to select students from among those who demonstrate leadership, talent and language capabilities, irrespective of their financial means, gender or ethnic origin, or any other subjective criteria.

KIMEP University’s world-class curriculum is based on international standards, and all of our classes are taught in English.  All of our programs are internationally accredited and are consistently rated by the Kazakhstani Ministry of Education as the first in their class, and a recent independent assessment by Kazakhstan’s business and legal community awarded KIMEP University with the best MBA and Executive MBA Programs in the country.

Utilizing a strong support system that features a first-rate Language Center, the largest English-language library in the CIS, a modern Sports Center and much more, KIMEP University strives to provide an invaluable academic experience for all of its students and faculty.

A non-profit joint-stock company, KIMEP University’s is overseen by an independent Board of Trustees that are elected by its shareholders.  Day-to-day operations are led by Chan Young Bang Ph.D, KIMEP University’s President, KIMEP University’s President’s Cabinet, Academic Council and a dedicated administrative staff composed of both Kazakhstani and international staff. KIMEP University is entirely student-financed and features student representation on all management committees. This focus on students and their well-being is the foundation for all of KIMEP University’s operations.

KIMEP University has an outstanding reputation throughout Kazakhstan and the region.  We have active links to the business community, and a large number of partnerships with esteemed international universities in North America, Europe and Asia.

KIMEP University has three main divisions: Division of Academic Affairs, Division of Strategic Planning, Development and Research and the Division of Administration and Finance.
