DAAD INFORMATIONSZENTRUM BAKU

The DAAD is the world’s largest funding organisation for the international exchange of students and researchers. It is a registered association and its members are German institutions of higher education and student bodies. The DAAD supports the internationalisation of German universities, promotes German studies and the German language abroad, provide developing countries with best practices in establishing universities and advises decision makers in the area of cultural, educational and developmental policy.

After gaining the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan, DAAD has started operating as a local lectureship since 1997 and has entered to the DAAD worldwide network as a Baku Information Center since 2004.

DAAD Baku Informaton Center:

• supports cooperation among Azerbaijani and German universities
• provides detailed information about higher education system and research environment in Germany
• provides information about the scholarship opportunities, DAAD scholarships
• organizes seminars and summer schools on different topics for german speaking students and teachers during the year
• organizes information events in Azerbaijani universities, education and research centers and also is represented in exhibitions
• cooperates with DAAD Alumnis
• is TestDaF, onSET and TestAS test centre
