INSTITUTE OF WORLD ECONOMY AND FINANCE

The Institute is an autonomous noncommercial educational establishment and executes its activities according to the Federal Law of Russian Federation. It was founded in 1995. IMEF is a member of the European Informatisation Academy (AEI) and the International Academy of Open Education.

The main aim of the educational activities of IMEF is implementing quality education based on the programs of higher professional education, involving qualified teaching staff and using innovative methods of education.

International cooperation is an integral part of the activity of the IMEF. We have a close relationships with several Kazakh universities, such as Kazakh University of Economics named after Turar Ryskulov and East-Kazakhstan State University named after M. Utemisov.

One of the advantages of the University is its location. It's situated in the centre of Astrakhan, large citiy of South Russia, cultural and economic center of the region. There're so many bridges that tourists sometimes compare it with St. Petersburg. In addition, you can find in the city famous Astrakhan Kremlin, a monument of Federal value, beautiful fountains, churches and mosques. And unique Lotus fields, salt lakes, ostrich farm as well.
