Study in Greece

Study in Greece (SiG) is Greece’s national agency for the internationalization of Higher Education, promotion of Greek universities and international student services. Backed by four Ministries of the Hellenic Republic: Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, Foreign Affairs, Culture, and Tourism, SiG is fully supported by the Greek State.

In its current form, Study in Greece is a non-profit organization consisting of members from all Greek Universities. It is managed by a nine-member board of directors who are faculty members at Greek universities.

Greece, or Hellas, is not a typical country. Situated in South-East Europe, Greece is located at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa. With its sunny weather and Mediterranean climate, its magical landscapes and its rich cultural heritage, Greece is one of the most idyllic study abroad destinations worldwide. However, if you study abroad in Greece, you’ll find that it’s much more than just a tourist destination. Greek universities have a long history in academics and an increasing number of international students have been enrolling in the past few years. International degrees provide international students with the opportunity to choose from a wide range of disciplines – from theoretical fields such as Archaeology, History and Classics to scientific fields such as Medicine, Applied Sciences and Ecology, as well as technology disciplines like IT, Computer Science, Engineering and Telecommunications, among others.
