Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy (UMFCD) is a public Romanian higher education institution located in Bucharest. With roots going back to XVII century the university in its modern form was established in 1857 as a part of University of Bucharest. The institution is considered as one of the most prestigious of its kind in the country and in Eastern Europe. Today over 6 thousand students from all over the world study there.

The university offers several bachelor, master and PhD programs. Most of the programs are Romanian-told, but many of them are also available in English. Average tuition fee is about EUR 6000 per year.
UMFCD students have a lot of opportunities for medical practice: the university uses the facilities of over 20 clinical hospitals all over Bucharest. Moreover it cooperates with almost a hundred universities and colleges from UK, Germany, France and 24 other countries.
