URAL STATE MINING UNIVERSITY

Ural State Mining University (UrSMU) is Russian public university located in Yekaterinburg. Established in 1914 it was one of the first training center for mining industry in the region. Today more than 9 thousand students attend the university.

URSMU includes several departments and faculties:

• Faculty of Engineering and Economics
• Faculty of Geology
• Faculty of Mining Machinery
• Faculty of Mining Technology
• Faculty of Urban Development

The university offers several bachelor and master programs combining theoretical studies with intensive practical training. All courses are Russian-taught. Different Russian language preparatory programs are offered for international students. The university runs a number of research centers and laboratories in close cooperation with local companies.
